Who we are

Spiritual directors are trained to listen for meaning in everyday life.

TERESA ELDER HANLON, MA, DMin Please call or text: 403-359-0812 | teresa.hanlon[at]gmail.com

Teresa offers those who come an opportunity to be listened to with care. She is a spiritual director, retreat facilitator, ordained pastor of an inclusive Catholic community, healing prayer minister and holds a Doctor of Ministry researching the experience of “not being listened to” in the lives of incarcerated women. She welcomes all people and is comfortable with Indigenous spiritualities, with listening to people of all denominations and no religious denomination, with those living with addictions and grief, and with people of all genders and sexual orientations. The practices of silence, observing nature, opening dreams, praying with scripture, poems and/or pondering Melanie Weidner’s Listen For Joy Art Cards complement Teresa’s meeting directees empathically, with unconditional love.

VALERIE KOOT | 493-360-1609  (text or call) |  vjkoot@gmail.com

I completed my training with the Studion School for Spiritual Direction in the spring of 2023. I offer a non-judgmental and welcoming space for you to speak freely and feel fully. I am curious, open-minded and patient.  Everyone’s story is important and sharing your story with another person creates space to reflect, connect, hear, let go and learn to live every day with purpose. I am well versed in feelings of loss and grief and the uncertainty that accompanies life’s many transitions. I am genuinely interested in hearing your story. I will walk alongside you on your journey, not as an expert, but as a fellow traveller.

VICKIE MacARTHUR 403-320-6763 | vickie[at]spiritinmotionyoga.com | www.spiritinmotionyoga.com

Vickie completed her two year spiritual direction training in 2020, with www.pacificjubilee.ca. As a yoga and meditation teacher, Vickie integrates embodied practices of breath, movement, meditation, and prayerful awareness into spiritual companion sessions. She invites moments of silent reflection, creating space for Spirit to speak, and your own insight to emerge. Rooted, and ordained in her Christian community, while also immersed in Buddhist and yoga philosophy, Vickie feels a deep sense of the sacred in all religions and traditions. Her inter-spiritual heart will honour whatever spiritual tradition(s) and practices you bring to our time together, as if they were her own. Vickie offers spiritual companioning both in-person and online. Book a free introductory session.
